The Seaman Homestead

From the interpretive park the site of Amos Seaman's "Homestead" is visible as a mere cluster of trees where the once great mansion stodd.

The house was built back in the late 1830's. (1837)

Due to long disputes over the Seaman will, the house and Minudie Estate fell into disrepair. A fire eventually destroyed what remained of the house (when??), and all that we can see today is the basement of the once great mansion.
